Survival meets automation in Atrio: The Dark Wild, which launches into Early Access on Steam today.
Bend nature to your will by capturing and exploiting the creatures and environment to help you survive at all costs. The many threats and challenges you will face are too difficult to handle on your own, you must build, automate and optimize your systems to keep the world at bay to stay alive.
“The inspiration of the game actually came from a YouTube Video of Oysters. We saw that oysters can actually filter 5L of filthy bog water into crystal clear water within a couple of hours, so we thought, “what if every creature plays a purpose in your automation?”. From that, Atrio was born.” —Stephen Huang, Founder of Isto Inc.
Players automate their processes by building complex Rube Goldberg-like machines that exploit the local creatures and environment. As they generate the power and resources needed to survive, they can explore this gorgeous 2.5D world and solve its mysterious past.
